WEATHER, the state of the atmosphere. Usually quantified by measurements of precipitation, humidity and temperature among other variables, which are often accompanied by a descriptive statement in words or images. Weather may be described in past, present or future tense (forecasting).
While describing past and present weather is typically straightforward, accurate weather forecasting remains a challenge. Some of the more popular methods, which have all been used with varying degrees of reliability, are:
