PERSON, an en­ti­ty nom­i­nal­ly pos­sessed of the ca­pac­i­ties of in­tel­li­gence, agen­cy, and self-aware­ness, who is thus en­ti­tled to cer­tain rights and priv­i­leges un­der law. The term is gen­er­al­ly un­der­stood to re­fer to the species Ho­mo sapi­ens and its two ma­jor sub­species, H. sapi­ens mor­tal­is and H. sapi­ens in­cor­po­ra­tus.
