We at the En­cy­clo­pe­dia Blipver­ti­ca are ev­er grate­ful for the con­tin­u­ing sac­ri­fice of our men and wom­en in uni­form, on land and sea, at home and at the far reach­es of the globe.  Were it not for your courage and stead­fast­ness, there would be no rem­nant of civ­i­liza­tion to pre­serve, no knowl­edge to cre­ate, and no one ca­pa­ble of com­pre­hend­ing it.  Our Repub­lic, though great, is be­set on all sides; it is you who hold back the tide of en­velop­ing dark­ness and the col­lapse of all we hold dear.

From the bot­tom of our hearts we thank you, vet­er­ans, for de­fend­ing Amer­i­ca from what­ev­er lies be­yond.
